Space school

I was thrilled to help out last minute at Space school at University of Strathclyde on Thursday, the week long event introduces secondary school students to the exciting world of space and ships and all the engineering/science/maths that it involves as an encouragement for more school kids to do those subjects at university level. Oh, it’s fun for the pupils too with games involving protecting a dropping egg, steering a robot vehicle around a desert like terrain. More information here

I even had the fortune of bumping into Tony Antonelli who has recently come back from a jaunt to the International Space Station

I took the liberty of a few pictures as the pupils were designing ships that can land while protecting an egg
